What about Grimm, Lordi and Nightwish... (oh and other shit)

Hey There!

I said I'll post an article by week. Finally I enjoye the people's positive response about this blog. Well Metal, Gore and Booze is a pretty well mixt even if my mother langage isn't english. Even if I'm a beauty blogger and a make up artist, this blog is the kind of "I can hangover my job" and talk about my other passion movie and music. It's my forth article, but I saw that people are really receptive to this blog, and I want to thanks you for that.

Last night I was working on the marketing of another web project that I've with some friend and we finally forgot about Friday's night Grimm at NBC. Friday's night is a ritual for us since last september. At 9pm we turn on the TV, take a break, coffee or booze and watch our new favorite tvshow... Grimm.

The storylines are pretty cool, but what impressionned us the most is the special effect on that show. And of course our favorite character is the BlutBad, Monroe.

I'll put some image of what looks like NBC Grimm.

I'll buy the first season for sure.

Lordi!

Those days I've a song in my head from Lordi... WOULD YOU LOVE A MONSTERMAN! Ok... Cheezy all the way! But what's marks me the most is the video... Watch it if you haven't see it yet.

Do you know what I'm thinking of when I see that? And old troll movie of the 80's...
Watch Trolls and you'll understand what I said about that...

And of course the classical OH MY GOD SCENE (in Troll 2)!

Nightwish into a movie!

Yes that right! But Nightwish lost me as a fan in 2007-2008 when Tarja was fired and the remplacement signer Annette Lozon lets me on a bad taste. I don't like her voice... (My personnal taste and opinion, so if you like it, I'm cool with that, I'm just self expressing that I prefer the period with Tarja as a signer)

The movie, perhaps, seem pretty cool!  See the Trailer!

Are you ready for Imaginaerum by Nightwish?

I've been influenced by a drummer!

The last time I went to the theater before that movie was like a year ago. I'm more the kind of buying it preview or on amazon.ca... But this time... I went see Cabin in the wood on the influence of Kriz DK (Deadstar Assembly and Genitorturers drummer). It was on Twitter he said that the coolest movie ever, Fangoria said the same, but I was sceptical about that. So here's a copyscreen of our chat on Twitter!

Yes! And I wasn't disapointed to see that movie! It's a pretty good one! Maybe not the coolest ever, but I enjoyed it! The storyline is incredible and you've to see it to know the punch (no I'm not telling it)...

The story is about: Five friends go in a Cabin in the woods for break. Strange events is started and they will discovered the truth behind this strange cabin.

Ok... the movie looks like a little bit as the movie Fog in a certain way. I'm telling a little bit too much of the story.......................................

Seriously I want to thanks Kriz DK for encouraging me to see that movie!

So here's the trailer!

Do you know by the way, Deadstar Assembly is launching a new album in 2012... The due date isn't fixed yet, but the title is Adorned in Thorns and an teaser is on YouTube.

You Must Listen too it...

And what about booze!
Just go a straight shot of Jagermeister! No drinks for today... haha!

Stay METAL!
And... See you in hell!

The Clown

Sweet short french Canadian movie. The Clown is on YouTube. Zombie, Gore, and A lot of nice shit! it's about eleven minutes, but truly interesting. It's the kind of movie that make me say:I'm proud to be from Quebec when I see little piece of art like this short horror movie! Not the first time I see it, but it worth it! And the make up are awesome!

So watch it now!

Reading of the week: The Strain & Orchid

Hey there!
This my geek moment! Why? Because I love to reads some dark comics and I want share some with you! My reading actually is light those days because I've a heavy schedules. I do my blogging on the sunday and the rest of the time I go to school or work. Well, now I started like 2 weeks ago, a new serie calls The Strain. And today I'm starting Orchid

THE STRAIN

The publisher is Dark Horse. Dark Horse is principally knows for Star Wars, Frank Miller's Sin City, Mass Effect, 300, Hellboy, Conan, etc. Trying a new series is like having sex with a new person, you never known if you'll like it. Seriously, I love the graphic and the story is the kind of really popular since AH1N1 cold pandemia in 2009-2010 episod... What I'm telling you is movies and pop culture are so fashionnable about contamination, zombies and the best part EPIDEMIC! Zombie is the new black (or the new plague)! The story is about a strange thing happen on a plane 777 (how original, why you didn't put 666, it won't surprise me) and than doctor Ephreim Goodweather (cheezy name) tought the strange thing was a terrorist attack. Well even if the story is so ZOMBIFIED and so FASHIONNABLE, The Strain can worth it! Actually, even if I doesn't like some little aspect of the story, I enjoye my reading. Actually they've only four number and I get it all! Waiting for the 5th one!

Orchid

What about Orchid. I'm the kind of girl who reads Grimm Fairy Tales and now, I'm with Orchid and Strain... But Orchid is more in the same wave of Grimm Fairy Tales. And I was really surprised that Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, etc.) participate at this comics book. He's the writter. Actually I read 2 to 6, the #1 is back order (WHAT A SAD NEWZ)! The story is pretty interesting.

Synopsis: "When the seas rose, genetic codes were smashed. Human settlements are ringed by a dense wilderness from which ferocious new animal species prey on the helpless. The high ground belongs to the rich and powerful that overlook swampland shantytowns from their fortress-like cities. Iron-fisted rule ensures order and allows the wealthy to harvest the poor as slaves. Welcome to the world of Orchid." Source: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=9745

And guess what? Each Issue is promoted with a song from Tom Morello!

Where I bought comics? Actually I go in my fave comics store at 15 minutes walking of my home Le Beginner (899 Curée-Poirier, Longueuil Québec). I invite you to go at this place if you're in Montreal area. I also invite you to join the Facebook Fan page: http://www.facebook.com/LeBeginner

The owners are really kind and you can have nice chat with him on Tank Girl or on other nice comics book!

Javameister, Intruders and Dick Dynamite

Hey There!

My name is Josy! Actually I'm a beauty junkie blogger for my own personnal blog etreradieuse.com . I drive it for the last 2 years. For those one who doesn't like beauty but follow me on facebook for my dynamic personnality and my rebelious attitude, yes you, you should like what will happens on this one. Actually the idea came from a night where I drank Jagermeister, listen to metal and watch a old fashion gore movie like I love.

Even if I'm beauty junkie, my first dreamed job when I was child... Scream Queen , also known as horror movie actress. Well now, my dreamed job is not play in the movie but, it's in the same vein... I wanna be a make up artist and I wanna make principally FX... I've done some! Wanna see? Of course you wanna see... No choice, you're here to read me and watch me... so lemme introduces you to my creativity...

By the way, I'm french canadian, so I'M SO SORRY FOR ALL MY F$*&ING MISTAKES!

But I also do beauty make up that is the big why for etreradieuse.com and my amazing portfolio at http://makeupliljosy.blogspot.ca/ not done yet... My friend does the HTML and programming shit for me when he have time to do it.

What I really look like?

Well, hot blonde bomb shell with heavy metal band's t-shirt on it, and I'm rebel.

And I go working with my metal looks!

Actually this blog will share you one article each week, because I'm too much busy to do more. Each week, I will introduce you a receipe drink with Jagermeister (Because I love Jagermeister), a gore movie and a metal song (sometime rockabilly or punk or industrial...). And sometime... Reading... like this weeks... or gore make up that I like... I tought is a good idea for my insanity to talk about other thing than make up and beauty product and in english... So it's a big goal and a big challenge for me.

So lets start it now!

Jager of the week!

My Jagermeister receipe this week is the JAVAMEISTER!

I'm a coffee addictive, love the taste and the energic feeling that damn drink gave us. But what can we do to spiced up sometime our traditionnal latte or black coffee (I like my coffee black just like my metal (hell yeah! Mindless Self Indulgence)).

So we do a cup of black coffee and add it a 2 oz of Jagermeister in it. Than put a little bit of whip cream on it, and VOILA the perfect drink. Jagermeister + Coffee! It like a 2 for 1 at Sephora. (if you don't know what's the feeling to have a 2 for 1 at Sephora, well it's the same in HMV or other cool store you visited).

Flicks of the week:

This week I want share you something bad! Really bad... Like it's suck, but we love to watch it! Intruders (1989). In 1989, I was 3 years old. To bad for me, but I was too young for remember this movie. But I love so much Fangoria Mag (Yep a big fan), that a FU*&$NG advertising made me bought it... You know what? Because Bruce Campbell was supposed to be in this movie! And dear Bruce Campbell, I'm the woman of your life but you don't know it... I know someday we will get marry... (I'm joking but I love really much this actor) Actually he's in the movie... like 1 Fu(*@g minute at the end as a police officer! WHAT? Yeah! Well that's the cheap part of life... not enough movie with Bruce Campbell! And I got the DVD + Blu Ray combo pack with some director cut and other cool shit you can see on it. Well what's about the movie? Ok the story line is not too bad. Jenifer works as a cashier in a grocery store and her evil ex-boyfriend is back in town. They fight and the ex-boyfriend is kicking out of the grocery store by the two bosses. Later that night, murder are commits and people thinks is the ex... Well good movie if you like gore, old fashion fx and also laugh at Sam Raimi.

I enjoyed the movie! did I mentionned that the killer's taking body part of the victim and disperse it in the store? Well that's what happen! It's truly the 80's gore essence in this movie, and I like it!

See the trailer!

Music of the week

This week, I'll introduce you a recent discorvering for myself too... Dick Dynamite and The Doppelangers. Nice discovering like yesterday. Why? Actually I love rockabilly like Horrorpops, Creepshow and some other who are in my play list. Dick Dynamite and The Doppelangers is a nice discovering by error. Actually I heard of them by YouTube (THANKS YouTube). The song is Deviant... and the video is gore... Listen to it! For me this song is awesome and I want to dance each time I listen to it... Actually I listen to it one million time since yesterday.

That is my first article! See you next week! Hope you'll love that blog! And I'm so sorry kids to put this blog 18 years old! Now go crying to your mommy! Alcool must be for 18 years old people and be drink with moderation. Some image can shock you too!
